Sean Kenan
Sean Kenan is a full-time street performer in Castlemaine and Daylesford. He plays Irish tenor banjo and Irish fiddle. Sean played in the traditional Irish Band, Poteen back in the 1970's. He moved to Canberra in 1990 and was a founding member of the Tinkers, an Irish tune band that was unique in the fact there were no songs, just tunes. Mark Twain played the banjo and said, "There comes a time in every man's life when he realises the most important thing, playing the banjo."


Chris Ryan - The Banjo Curiosity Shop Continues

Dusty Miller - Absolute Beginner Banjo
A regular of the Guildford Banjo Jamboree, I have been playing Clawhammer banjo for over 25 years. I’ve played in bands, ensembles and sometimes solo on stages, in hall and pubs throughout Victoria and beyond. If you have never played clawhammer banjo, are curious about the style or just want to brush up on absolute beginner technique, then this workshop is for you. Stan Gottschalk - Clawhammer Banjo
( with some help from John Boothroyd) This teaching workshop is intended for advanced beginner to intermediate players; you should have a basic ability to play the basic clawhammer style. Mick Harrison
Five string banjo player, Mick Harrison, has been part of the Melbourne Bluegrass/ Banjo scene for around 30 years. Having played with The Busby Mountain Boys, The Hillwilliams, Hardrive, and now presently with The Old Crossroads and Alluvium. A sought-after workshop presenter, Jim shares his expertise at festivals nationwide. Catch him performing with The Bluegrass Remnants at the Saturday night concert in Guildford and join his 5-string banjo workshop Saturday morning for a dose of his vast knowledge and experience.


Peter Harrison - Banjo Blues Jam with Pete
Join in with Pete from The Runaway Strings and work your way through some classic blues tunes. Pete has come to the banjo from the heathen world of the guitar and plays a tenor in Chicago tuning, but you can bring any instrument you like, and we'll make it work! Join in and we'll learn tunes from Muddy Waters, Son House and more.


Shelley Wigley -Banjo Uke
We will be looking at a simple 3 Chord Tune that is often played at festival sessions. Looking at changing chords easily and building that muscle memory. Various Strumming patterns and Rhythms, but most of all having fun. Then if you choose to join in, we will be part of the Festival Parade. All instruments and people welcome.
