   The Guildford Music Hall is a rare surviving example of a goldfields theatre. It was added to the hotel (built in 1856) by the owner, Joseph Sherer, in the 1860's and is still owned and run by the Guildford hotel to this day.
   
   
   
   
2. It was lovingly restored in 2003 by Guildford hotel owner Siro (Steve) Scopel, with some assistance from the Guildford community. Compare the "before" photos (taken from the placards on the wall above the fireplace)with the neat solid little building as it stands today in the photo above.
