Camping areas are at: 'River Reserve', 'Big Tree Park' and the 'Oval'

"Please camp between the signs in these areas."

Where to camp

Camping (no power)is available to wrist-band ticket holders on the Guildford Oval in the heart of town or in nearby Big Tree Park or the River Reserve.

Please camp between the signs in these areas and observe any other instructions or markings. We always try to minimize the wear and tear the oval cops, so we ask campers to set up along the inside perimeter of the fence line first. We will open up more area later as required. There is a necessity to provide a 'thoroughfare' for Emergency Vehicles on the oval. Also, please plan to minimize vehicle movement on and off the oval.

  • Public toilets and barbeque facilities are available, and we are hoping that the new shower block at the oval will be ready to use by September. If necessary in case the work is held up, there will be showers available in Vaughan Springs, about 10 minutes drive, and maps will be available from reception.
  • Guildford Shower Block - Under Construction

Our oval, the John Powell Reserve, has the special distinction of having one of the only turf cricket pitches left in Victoria. This area will be roped off and you are asked to be especially careful not to encroach upon it.

FIRES: Fires on the oval and other camping spots will be strictly controlled this year to comply with CFA and council requirements. No private fires are to be lit and firewood is not permitted to be gathered from public reserves, including by the river. However, we are making funds available for extra fire drums and the committee and the CFA will be working together to make sure firewood is available for these drums. We are also hoping to have two or three marquees set up on the oval as session tents. Your warmth and comfort is our concern!
